Behind the scenes

There is a family of five behind the scenes of operating the Crystal Beach Motel; Livingstone and me, Tamara and Andrew and last but certainly not least, Kelly. Actually a lot more though. Because we could not have done this already for nine years without all the help of relatives, friends and their children. I was a 40 year old mom when we arrived with our two daughters, 8 and 11 years at that time. In those nine years I got divorced and met a very nice man, my new partner, Livingstone Beaumont. My daughters (Tamara and Kelly) went through High school and College and the oldest daughter has a great boyfriend, Andrew.

Every summer, Fall and Christmas relatives and friends came(and are still coming) to celebrate their Holidays and vacations, but they would always give us a hand with everything you can think of: repair, mowing the lawn, fixing the car, ironing, cleaning, cooking, watching the telephone. Just anything you can think of. Some people even would stay for 1, 2 or 3 months and one even for a year. There was so much fun hehind the scenes.
Immensely grateful we are for all those friends, which we think of as family. Words cannot describe what they mean to us. Not only because of all the help they gave us, but even more important: all the great memories, the fun and laughter, sometimes tears, and especially their company.

The people who are also very dear and important to us are our local friends. They have been there for us whenever we needed them and still are there for us. We have a lot of fun with them too, like the very dear friend(Glenn) who always comes to fix our computers, the man(Joe) who is there for us when we really do not know how to fix it ourselves, our snow-removal friend(Winston), our friend the judge(Ron) who keeps an eye on the property and the girls when we have to go somewhere, the couple(Michele and David) that takes over everything in case of emergencies, the lady(Pat, artist and writer advising us with making content for brochures, the couple(Bill and Midge) that always comes when we need a glass of wine, the man (Steve)who fixes everything for a cup of coffee or a dinner.

"Thank you."

I feel very blessed to be a Working At Home Mom and I wish that for every mom.
